Registration Open for the 2024 MNF Charity Horse Show & Christmas Market: Featuring the Thoroughbred Classic – A Holiday Horse Show Raising Awareness for Aftercare and Equestrian Dreams
Los Angeles, CA – The Thoroughbred Classic Horse Show (TCHS) returns this holiday season with a fresh twist, partnering with the Michael Nyuis Foundation (MNF) to bring the MNF Charity Horse Show & Christmas Market: Featuring the Thoroughbred Classic, December 5-8, 2024, at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. Registration for this highly anticipated event is open and runs through November 15th, offering equestrian enthusiasts and thoroughbred riders the chance to compete, connect, and celebrate the season while supporting the missions of two impactful nonprofit organizations—CARMA and the Michael Nyuis Foundation.
The reimagined TCHS continues to celebrate the versatility and athleticism of retired Thoroughbred racehorses, while also expanding its reach by incorporating into the MNF Charity Horse Show. The event blends top-level equestrian competition with festive holiday fun, providing an unforgettable experience for both participants and spectators.
New Features & Holiday Magic
This year’s event promises even more excitement with the introduction of the MNF Grant Recipients, nineteen teenagers who have been given the opportunity to plan and manage the horse show under the guidance of the West Palms Events Team. This initiative offers these young equestrians hands-on event management experience, positioning them to become future leaders in the horse industry.
Returning favorites include the beloved horse, dog, and barn decorating contest, offering participants a chance to showcase their creativity while adding a festive flair to the competition. Spectators will enjoy family-friendly entertainment throughout the event, from competitions to holiday shopping at the Christmas Market.
“We’re thrilled to open registration for this unique event,” said Lucinda Lovitt, Executive Director of CARMA. “Not only will participants enjoy the thrill of competition, but they’ll also be making a real difference in the lives of Thoroughbreds and young riders alike.”

About the MNF Foundation:
The Michael Nyuis Foundation grants offer support for young riders who have the passion and drive to compete, but lack the resources to do so consistently year-round. The program provides grants to riders at multiple levels, from entry-level to high performance. The program aims to have riders at different levels gain access to the sport. Recipients are selected based on financial need, commitment, and dedication to the sport.
