Red King

Red King retired from racing after a standout career that included eight wins, highlighted by his victory in the Grade 2 Del Mar Handicap. He entered CARMA’s Placement Program and was placed with CARMA aftercare partner Sandia Creek Ranch.

Today, Red King is a beloved ambassador for Thoroughbred aftercare, representing retired racehorses at events like the Breeders’ Cup, Pony Express Re-Ride, and Thoroughbred Makeover. Though his racing days are behind him, he continues to win hearts wherever he goes.

Impressively

Meet Impressively, a CARMA graduate who found a new athletic career beyond the racetrack. At the 2025 Thoroughbred Makeover, Impressively and rider Lilli Kress placed 6th out of 70 competitors in the Amateur Jumper division.

Bletchley Park

Bletchley Park (by Nyquist out of Spinning Wheel) sold for $2.6 million as a 2-year-old and won four races before a sesamoid fracture ended his racing career. He entered CARMA’s Placement Program and was placed with CARMA aftercare partner Healing Arenas, Inc.

Now known as Nimitz, he serves in Healing Arenas’ Stable Vets Project, helping veterans build confidence and connection through equine-assisted services. Sometimes a Thoroughbred’s greatest legacy isn’t found in the winner’s circle—it’s the difference they make in the lives of others.
